Gigi's love of ballet began when she was five years old, taking class in St. Louis with Madame Casane for two years, and continuing for the next ten years with Stanley Herbert. Her association with Saint Louis Ballet began in 1986 when her children, Caleb and Caitlin, were studying with the founding Artistic Directors Ludmilla Dokoudovsky and Tony Zalewski. Gigi has been photographing performances for the company and working on studio publicity shots for the past twenty years. During these years she has photographed twenty seasons of The Nutcracker Ballet, several each of Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides, Midsummer Nights Dream, Cinderella, Waponga, Beauty and the Beast, Fall and Spring Series, and The Picnic.
