The Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center is located on the north campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis near the I-70 and I-170 interchange in north St. Louis County at:

Parking

There are FREE parking lots and garages surrounding the building. Permits are normally required, but patrons can park in the North Garage any time and in all other locations on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Accessibility

Please use the Main Entrance for dropping off patrons that have mobility issues. The walk from the drop off point to the building is only 20 yards (60 feet). The drop off point on the west side of the building is 77 yards from the door. There are 22 disabled parking spaces within 260 yards of the building; however, they do fill up quickly during large events. Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available as indicated on the seating map for people who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices.  Designated aisle seats are available for anyone who may benefit from a seat with a folding armrest to transfer into a seat.  Companion seating for the accessible seating is also available.  For more details, please contact the theater group producing your performance.

Tickets are not sold through the Touhill Box Office.

COVID-19 Policies for attending ballet performances:

As of September 15, 2022
Masking is strongly encouraged but not required.  Saint Louis Ballet does not require proof of Covid-19 vaccination or negative test to attend ballet performances.  Ushers will re-seat any patron who wishes more distance between themselves and other patrons without question or additional charge.  Patrons with covid symptoms of any kind are respectfully requested not to attend; their unused tickets will be exchanged without a change fee for a future performance or production.  Dancers will be performing unmasked.  

Late Seating at the Touhill:

If this is your first visit to the Touhill, please give yourself plenty of time before the performance to familiarize yourself with the UMSL campus, parking and venue. Patrons arriving after the start of a performance will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. To protect the enjoyment of other patrons, to not disturb the artists, and for safety.

Photography and Video During Performances:

Photos and video are encouraged prior to the performance, during intermission, and after the performance, but not permitted during the live performance.  For legal reasons including choreographic and artistic rights, no patron can take photos or video of the ballets or artists on stage.

SLB Boutique:

Located in the Lobby, Saint Louis Ballet's Boutique is open about 1 hour before each performance.  Unique gift items and Saint Louis Ballet logo items and apparel are for sale to support Saint Louis Ballet, a non profit organization. During The Nutcracker, it has a large display of beautifully designed Nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes.  Many audience members visit the boutique yearly during this holiday classic ballet to add to their collection of Nutcrackers and excited to see the new additions.

Concessions at the Touhill:

There is a concessions area in Parterre Lobby directly outside the main floor of the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall.  There is also a concessions stand outside the Lee Theater that also provides service for the balconies of the Performance Hall. 

A full bar, soft drinks, snacks, and light meals are offered. Concessions are normally offered during ticketed events with service starting at about one hour prior to the advertised event start time. For non-ticketed and academic events, vending machines are located in the Terrace Lobby under Grand Stairs near the restrooms. The concessions bar and vending machines accept cash or credit cards.  Please note that there is no ATM in the building. Drinks are allowed in the theaters if they are in a container with a lid, this includes items purchased at the concessions bar.  Souvenir Touhill cups with lids are available for purchase.  Food is not permitted in the theaters.
