About
Saint Louis Ballet consists of 24 internationally acclaimed dancers selected from competitive national auditions for a full season of dance. They are recognized as the only professional resident ballet company in the St. Louis region presenting a season of four fully mounted productions serving 20,000 people in approximately 24 public performances annually. Lauded by critics for its artistic innovation and excellence, they are supported by a wide array of corporations, foundations, arts councils, individual patrons, and students from over 75 zip codes.
Celebrating his seventeenth season as Artistic Director, Gen Horiuchi is elevating Saint Louis Ballet to new heights of artistic excellence and the world is taking notice. Recent seasons included full-length classics such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, masterpieces by George Balanchine and Twyla Tharp, innovative new works by Horiuchi himself, Emery LeCrone, Tom Gold, Nilas Martins, Pam Tanowitz, Brian Enos and Christopher d’Amboise, who was named Principal Guest Choreographer in 2013.
